About the Role
Permanent, full-time. Work from home in Bandung. Run the daily operations of a fast-growing Australian haulage fleet.
SA Bulk Materials and Haulage is a growing transport and haulage company based in Adelaide, South Australia. Major quarry and construction clients have invited us into the South Australian market, and we're expanding quickly, with a brand-new fleet of semi tippers and truck and dog combinations arriving in stages over the coming months.
We're looking for an experienced Logistics Manager based in Bandung to take ownership of the day-to-day planning, allocation and administration of our fleet, working remotely and reporting directly to the State Manager and Operations Manager in Adelaide. This is a permanent role with an owner-led company, and we want someone who will grow into a senior operations leadership position as the business scales.
What you'll be doing
Allocations and daily operations
Planning and allocating trucks and drivers to jobs each day to maximise fleet utilisation and keep every truck moving
Managing daily run sheets, load schedules and job confirmations with clients, quarries and project sites
Coordinating driver start times, hours and rosters in line with fatigue management rules
Monitoring jobs in real time and resolving delays, breakdowns and changes as they arise
Booking and coordinating subcontractor trucks when demand exceeds our own fleet
Client and driver coordination
Acting as the daily point of contact for clients on bookings, changes and delivery confirmations
Communicating clearly and professionally with drivers, clients and site staff by phone, email and messaging
Building strong working relationships with client dispatch and site teams
Fleet, compliance and administration
Maintaining accurate records of delivery dockets, timesheets, hours and load data for invoicing and payroll
Tracking fleet registrations, permits, inspections, servicing schedules and driver licence and induction expiries
Supporting Chain of Responsibility and NHVAS compliance through accurate record keeping
Preparing daily and weekly operational reports for the State Manager and Directors
Managing fuel usage, tolls and operating cost records
General office administration, including document control, supplier follow-ups and driver onboarding paperwork
What we offer
Permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary
Fully remote — work from home in Bandung
A ground-floor role in a company that is growing quickly, with a clear path to a senior operations leadership role
Direct access to the owners and real influence over how the business runs
A respectful, down-to-earth culture where your work is valued
Long-term stability with a company that is here to stay
What you'll need
Perfect English, both written and spoken — you'll be on the phone and email daily with Australian drivers, clients and site staff, and this is essential
At least five years' experience in logistics, transport operations, fleet allocation or dispatch, ideally in bulk haulage, quarrying, mining or construction
Proven experience allocating trucks and drivers and managing daily transport schedules
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail with dockets, timesheets and compliance records
Confidence with fleet management, GPS tracking and dispatch software, and strong Excel skills
Ability to stay calm and make quick, sound decisions when plans change
Availability to work Australian business hours (Adelaide time), including early starts to match fleet operations
Reliable home internet and a quiet, professional workspace
Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently across time zones
